Womb Wrapping & Closing the Bones

What is it?

Womb Wrapping and Closing of the Bones is a postnatal aftercare package. This deeply nurturing treatment is designed to support your healing and recovery after birth.

Rooted in traditional postpartum practices from Central and South America, Closing of the Bones is a gentle, ceremonial process that honours the transition into motherhood and helps to restore physical and emotional balance.

The session includes gentle rocking, abdominal and hip massage, and the use of rebozo shawls to wrap and hold different parts of the body. These techniques help to bring the energy back inward, offering a sense of containment and deep support after the openness of pregnancy and birth. Womb wrapping focuses on the lower abdomen and pelvic area, helping you reconnect with your centre and offering warmth, grounding and emotional release.

Each session lasts around two hours and includes:
• A calming herbal tea on arrival
• Time to share your birth experience, if you wish
• Gentle hands-on treatment including abdominal massage, rebozo work and wrapping
• Aftercare guidance and space to integrate

This offering is suitable for new mothers from six weeks postpartum onward, and also for those seeking support many months or even years after giving birth. It is a sacred space to rest, be witnessed and be held with care.
